Course description
This 10-hour CE course reviews the new advances in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, including clinical trials and new research around best practices for preparation, facilitation and integration. Course topics include: research on DMT and Ketamine’s use in psychedelic-assisted therapy; how current approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and psycholytic therapy could be used in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy integration; how psychedelics could aid in the treatment of addiction and healing from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs); as well as information about the potential effects of psychedelics on mindfulness and connectedness.
The course also includes information around the skills, ethics and cultural competencies that would be necessary for therapists, facilitators, and clinical practice, should they choose to seek out formal training as psychedelic-assisted clinicians.
